Cornbelly's

I heard through the grapevine that Kbull 93 was doing a deal where you could go to the Cornbelly's corn maze for only 93 cents. What a steal!! So I had Ryan take the kids on Friday night so I could go shopping. They loved it so much that we decided to take Shellie and Legz with us Saturday night (Lucas was at Chevron)

They had a corn maze and tons of other activities. The kids loved playing in the big sand box that was filled with corn instead of sand. They had corn all over in their pockets and Joren even had it in his pull-up.

We couldn't leave baby Terek out of the fun. I feel so bad that he's just sleeping in his stroller all the time and I don't take any cute pics of him.

Lunch date with Daddy

About once a month we like to try to meet Ry for lunch. It was such a beautiful day that we thought we'd get drive through and meet Ryan at the park. Joren is the messiest boy I have ever met!!! He was trying to drink his chocolate milk with a straw, but tipped it at the same time! He ended up with a pocket full of chocolate milk!!!

The boys had a lot of fun playing hide and seek with Daddy. Ryan is such a good dad to get out there and play with his kids. We love you, Dad!

Aquarium

We got to babysit Legz for about an hour this week so we took her to the aquarium. She was so excited to see the fish. She was really good to follow the boys everywhere.

Baby Names

For many years, I have been keeping a running list of kids names. I like unique names and I knew that I would want my kids to have unique names. I have kept them top secret because if I told anyone the name, then they would take it from me. Well, I truly feel that I can not handle more than 3 kids (plus my doctor recommended that it wouldn't be very safe for me to have another), so I feel the need to give out my kids names. Reading back on them, some are better than others. If you're looking for a name for your baby, here are some ideas.

My little girl

Why do I complain about not having a girl?

I have a little boy who loves dolls, and princesses. He threw a fit at the store today because he wanted the princess pull-ups. (His daddy is going to be mad at me). And Brenner loves doing crafts with me. So, what do I have to complain about?

It finally fell off!!!

We were having issues with Terek's umbilical cord. It just didn't want to fall off and it was kind of goopy. We finally had to do the old fashioned thing of swabbing it with rubbing alcohol. Well, the day he turned 4 weeks old, it was hanging by a thread, so Ryan pulled it off. It still freaks me out a little because it can get goopy, but it's supposedly okay. The point of my story is that Terek can finally bathe in the tub! He didn't like it so much, but Ryan said it was because I had the water too cold (probably true). We'll have to get him used to it. Joren wanted to get in the tub with him... he didn't care if there was only 2 inches of water. So, our tub dilemma is solved, Joren will bathe with Terek (and we will keep him from drowning).

PICS

We went on Thursday last week to get the boys pics taken!!! I think I have the cutest boys ever made!!! Brenner is so big and so handsome. He's my little model that would pose for the pics, but we couldn't get a natural smile out of him.
Joren is full of life and full of spunk. He was just happy to be there and kept cheesing it with a real smile the whole time.
Terek wasn't sure about the whole thing, but he's just cute and sweet all the time.
And here's the child porn pic for Ryan... he hates these. What is wrong with him?

Which one is which?

This one should be easy!!!

Growing toooo fast!

Does this look like a 4 week old to you? He is growing up so fast. He's already getting pretty good at holding his head up! He's finally found his voice and knows how to cry! He likes to be held when he's not sleeping. Good thing I can do stuff one handed!

Soccer

Brenner had his first soccer game last night. He was very excited about playing soccer. He loved shopping for all of his soccer gear. His friend, Ella's mommy is the coach. That helps him to not be too shy. He had a lot of fun the first half... he even scored the first goal!!!!!!!!
The 2nd half he said he was too tired to play. So I had to bribe him to get out there. He got right back out there and had tons of fun!!!

It's About Time they do some Work around here!

I got my car cleaned yesterday, so I thought we'd tackle the car seats. We know how well that went for me last time. So, I took the covers off and tossed them in the wash. I took the car seats out into the back yard and got each boy their own bowl of soapy water and told them to clean them. They did a great job!!! We'll see how long they stay clean.

Brenner's Cast

Brenner got his cast today!!! What fun. He was a good boy. He picked out blue, of course. His doctor did x-rays again. He said he actually broke both of the bones in his arm right by his wrist. But they aren't breaks like adults get. He explained that it's kind of like a crushed pop can.

Historic Cove Fort

On our way home from St. George Ryan had to take a small detour to a job site. Right at that time, the baby decided he was hungry. We realized we were only 1 mile from Cove Fort and we thought that would be a good place to stop and feed the baby. When I was done feeding the baby, I went to find Ryan and the boys. They were done with the tour, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to look around. It was pretty interesting. The Hinckley family had built the fort to protect themselves from the Native Americans. But since they made friends with the Native Americans, there was no need. So, it became more of a stopping point for the post office and stage coaches and they also had a telegraph station there.
The boys had a lot of fun looking around. They have a little garden out back, a stable, blacksmith shop, etc. This picture is of a mouse trap. The moust goes up the wooden ramp, jumps onto the cheese in the middle and falls in the bucket! This little detour got us home at 8:30, but it was pretty fun.

Another trip to Instacare

So, we went to St. George this weekend to see my mom (well, more so my mom could see the baby). We went to a park on Saturday night so the kids could burn off some of their energy. We stayed until it was dark. I was sitting on the bench with the baby when Ryan runs over with Brenner in his arms and says, "It's a good thing we have insurance." This crazy shock wave ran through my body. Brenner had gone down the fire pole several times. However, this time, his missed and fell. He braced his fall and broke his wrist! He has a temporary splint and we are going to his pediatrician today to see if he needs a cast or what!!! The way I see it... it's the first broken bone, but it won't be the last! I have 3 boys for crying out loud!!! We are going to be spending plenty of time in instacare.

Terek at 3 Weeks

He's just growing up so fast already!!! He is constantly trying to hold his head up (and he's pretty good at it.) He's starting to be awake more and wants to see what's going on. He's getting quite chubby and I think his cheeks are going to be just as big as Joren's.

Utah State Fair

So, we thought we'd give the state fair a try. It was my sister-in-law's (Shellie) idea. I'm not sure what I liked the most..... the stinky animals..... ....A stubborn 4 year old (who I don't like much right now) that doesn't want to do anything but what he wants to do and whines and screams when we don't let him have his own way....
.... or being worried that my sweet little 2 week old is roasting to death and finally waking him up so I can nurse in a very public place...
...thank heavens for a sweet little boy who is happy to do anything and a sweet little neice who loves stinky animals....
.... here's to the state fair where a funnel cake costs $8 and it costs $5 to play balloon darts!
Sorry, Shellie, not my favorite activity.

Some of you did okay on the newborn shots. Here are the 3 boys at 2 weeks. Which one is which?

2 Weeks Old

Terek is 2 weeks old today!!! He is doing so great. He is 8 lbs. 2 oz. now (which means he has gained 10 oz. above his birth weight). Can you believe how much they change in such a short amount of time? He is such an adorable, sweet little baby and he is sooo loved by his big brothers.
Terek had his two week appt today. I had my two week appt today. And we still need to go back to the instacare tonight to get Brenner's stitches out! What a day!

Back to School

Today was our first day back to preschool! Last night for family night we had a lesson on school and made this really cute crayon cake (My friend Jacinda was out of town, so I had to make my own cake... I'm not very good at it, but the kids didn't seem to care.) This morning we had to get everyone up and dressed and out of the house by 9:30. That was quite the challenge.
Brenner wasn't too thrilled to have me take his picture, but he was really excited to be going back to class at Miss Amee's.
Joren is doing a neighborhood Joyschool and he had a lot of fun. He was singing some song when I was trying to get him to take a nap... something like "my name is Joren.... bubble, bubble, bubble, pop!" I'll have to talk to his teachers to find out what song it was. The other moms gave me the whole month of Sept. off, so it will be my turn to teach in October.
We had quite a bit of shuffleing the baby around in his car seat as we had to drop the kids off and pick them up at different times. It's a good thing he's a really good baby.
