Teach them young

I wish I could say that my kids love to clean up. I wish they cleaned their room and put their dishes in the sink, clothes in the hamper, etc. I have not trained them to do that very well. But when they have a new toy that they want, they will do chores to earn money. The easiest thing to have them do is the dishes. Terek always wants to do them because he sees the older boys do them. Gotta love that he wants to do it!!!!

So, tell me what kinds of chores I can have my kids do... besides dishes and laundry. What's a good idea?

Liberty Park

We love Liberty Park...

My little boy that is constantly taking his pants off:)
Brenner, Joren and Sam had a lot of fun chasing each other around with the splash balls.

Joren and Terek liked to dip their heads in the water!!!

4th Festivities

For the 4th, we invited ourselves along with Lucas and Shellie and Legacy to go camping. I like to have Lucas plan the trips and we just tag along.

We went camping in the mountains above Vernal. On Saturday, we headed up to Flaming Gorge for some fun activities. We went to the resort for a Car Show and carnival games.

The boys love stuff like this. They got to squirt down a tower of plastic cups... we should set something up like this on our back yard!
Terek LOVES cotton candy!!!
They loved the cute pet goats!
This was HILARIOUS!!! At the Dam Visitor Center someone had glued quarters to the ground and the bench. It was fun to watch everyone try to pick them up. Terek got sooooo mad that he couldn't pick it up. It cracked me up!
We saw the Flaming Gorge Dam.
That night we watched the fireworks in Dutch John, UT by Flaming Gorge.
Sunday, Ryan and Lucas went golfing in Vernal. Shellie and I took the kids on a hike to see the Dinosaur tracks. It was nice overcast weather for a 3 mile hike up and down a mountain. If you click on the picture you may see the dinosaur track under Brenner's right foot.
When we got back to camp, it was only 35 degrees!!! I decided I didn't want to sleep in a tent when it was that cold. So I convinced Ryan and Lucas to break camp and head to Lucas and Shellie's for the night.
We got to see their cute place and the boys got to set off their fireworks in the cul-de-sac. Brenner and Joren had been packing around their fireworks for a week. They kept taking them out of the package to trade them and such.
Just so you know, Lucas, we had a super fun weekend... no complaints. And I know that we jinx you with the rain and bad weather camping, so I guess you'll have to go without us in the future!!!

The sport pro

Sam and I took the boys mini golfing the other morning. Little sports fanatic Terek, got his first hole-in-one!!!

At the end of the game when he was bored with golfing... he used the broken light post to play t-ball! The kids loves sports!!!

South Jordan Country Fest

Once again.... my little pink camera in my purse keeps taking pictures, but they don't get put on the computer....

A couple of weeks ago we baby-sat Legacy so Shellie could run the Ragnar Relay. We thought it would be fun to take the kids to the South Jordan Country Fest so they could do the carnival rides.

As you can see, they loved it!!! It was expensive, but ya know... sometimes you have to splurge.
