Temple Work

I have been wanting to go to the temple for awhile, but I've had a hard time finding time and making the commitment. So, I decided that I could go while Joren and Brenner were in preschool and I would just have to have Cami babysit Terek. I had a window of 1 hr. and 15 minutes. I figured I could do initiatory. I got to the Jordan River Temple (which is only about 15 minutes away). On the way there I thought, "If only the Oquirrh Mountain Temple were done. I could be there in 2 minutes." How spoiled are we? I got to the temple and it was a 45 minute wait. I didn't have time!!!! How crazy is that?
So, as spoiled as we are, I guess it's a good thing we have 2 new temples being built in the south end of the valley. The Draper temple (left) will have the open house mid January- mid March and is being dedicated in March. No word on the Oquirrh Mountain temple (right), but it is coming along quickly.

Ah, 2 minutes. Our drive is now about 2 hours, and we're thankful that it's that close, whereas Houston or Dallas is about double that.

Strange...we did the same thing on the same day! (Except there was a shorter wait for me.) I am grateful for having a temple 10 minutes away, especially since we live outside of Utah! It's so exciting that there are two new temples being built there!

It is great to see so much temple work being done. Looks like the SL Valley saints should have no problem keeping the new temples busy. Recently my sister and I had to wait 30 minutes to do initiatory in St George. We barely made it in time for the session we wanted to attend. Crazy but Good!
