Building Forts

I've been trying to convince the kids to go and play over at the farm forever. Yesterday they had friends over and no one could decide what to do that everyone would like... so I told them to go to the farm and play. I took them over there and showed them how to build a fort out of the wood pile.
Other neighbor kids showed up and we had a whole gang there! They had two different forts and they had teams. They had nerf guns and were playing some sort of war. They also had tons of fun playing on the hay stacks and jumping from level to level.
They had so much fun and no one wanted to go home.

What a great activity. You know a few forts appeared in the wood pile on our lot in Santa Clara over the years.

That is AWESOME!
Bunches of boys doing boy things is so great! We're so sheltered here in the city.

I remember doing that as a kid. What a fun outdoor activity, and isn't it great being in the warmth of Southern Utah?
