Kinderbear

Meet Kinderbear... he is Brenner's class bear. The kids in his class get to take turns taking him home for the week. They bring him home in his cute little backpack. He has different clothes to wear. They get to do fun activities with him and write in his scrapbook about the activities. Brenner was so excited for his week. I signed him up for the week of Halloween because I thought that would be fun.
Kinderbear got to help us carve pumpkins.
Kinderbear got to play in the first snowfall of the year.
Kinderbear (dressed like Santa) got to help Brenner with his homework.
Brenner insisted on sleeping with Kinderbear in a sleeping bag in the family room every night.
Kinderbear got to dress up in his halloween costume (thanks Sam) and go to the Halloween reading time at the library.
Brenner gets to take Kinderbear back tomorrow for his Halloween party at school. He is sad he doesn't get to take Kinderbear trick or treating with him but Mrs. McKenna gets to take him home on the weekends (I'll bet she takes him trick or treating:)

First Snow

When I saw the sprinkling of snow on the ground this morning, I was hoping the kids wouldn't notice (I just wasn't sure I was ready to have snow gear all over my house). But, they noticed:)
They love playing on the playground in the snow... and coming inside for hot chocolate 5 minutes later.
Terek had a conflict of interest.... He HATES Clothes, but he LOVES to be outside!!! So all day I had to deal with him screaming because I wouldn't let him go outside with his brothers. After school some of the neighbor kids went outside to build snowmen, so I caved and got Terek all dressed up. He did not like being all dressed up in his gear and he couldn't even move!
Brenner played outside forever with his friends...

They tried to build a snowman, but gave up and had more fun kicking it instead... so many more fun winter days to come!

Pumpkins

a few weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch with Shellie and Legacy.
My rule has always been that they can't get a pumpkin that they can't pick up themselves.
Brenner is getting pretty tough and got a pretty big pumpkin.
He's just a cute little pumpkin:)
(side story.... Shellie took all of our pictures for us... because I forgot my camera. You see, I love my SLR, but it is big, so I don't like to carry it around. I have always had small camera that I can carry in my purse. I or one of the kids broke my little camera, so I have been doing without for awhile. Well, my sweet hubby spent his hard-earned money to buy me a cute pink camera so I don't miss any of these memorable moments any more!)
The rest of the story... we forgot to get a pumpkin for Tagg. So, Brenner insisted that we had back to the pumpkin patch after school last week to get Tagg a pumpkin. I don't know if Tagg could pick this pumpkin up by himself, but it was the smallest one we can find. Brenner says he's going to help Tagg carve it... I bet Tagg would love to eat it:)

Soccer

It's going to be weird to not have a soccer game tomorrow.
Brenner had a lot of fun playing soccer this fall. It was fun to have Cami as his coach and his friends Ella and McKay on the team.
He isn't super agressive and spent more time chewing on his shirt, but he still had fun.
We had nice weather for most of the games... except the one that grandma came to!

Cute little booger boy!

Cute little booger boy is 14 months old today. Boy does he have quite the personality! He loves what he loves and totally wants what he wants!

For instance, he would not let go of that umbrella to save his life. He also loves to play with brooms.
He loves books and especially this elmo book. He will crawl across the house to bring you the book to read to him.
He hates clothes!!! He's really not loving all of these long-sleeved shirts and he's constantly trying to take them off. He also takes off his shoes and socks. However, he spends a large portion of his day standing at the door screaming to go outside.... and I mean screaming.

And that boy loves to dance!!! This was a rare occasion catching him dancing with all limbs... usually he just has one hand going!!!

He isn't walking yet and has no desire to walk. But he can stand up all by himself to body slam us.

We love you big T!

Story of my life

Ryan brought this to me this morning and said, "this is the story of your life." I have to agree... although I'd probably forget what it was I was doing in the first place.

Dentist

It's pretty sad when we have nothing better to post about than going to the dentist.

Brenner is a pro at going to the dentist. He says he likes to go. He thinks it's great that he gets to sit and watch tv.
Joren was awesome at going to the dentist... this was the first time he opened his mouth!!! Good times... good times!!

Firestation Field Trip

Yesterday for Joren's preschool we went on a field trip to the fire station. Joren was very interested in all of the things in the truck... he loved all the tools they have.

But when they opened the doors for the kids to get in the fire truck... he got a little freaked out. (I'm honestly not sure what happened, but he was very scared to get in the fire truck). Needless to say, he enjoyed the rest of the tour in mommy's arms. But at least he posed for a pic:)

So handsome

I was told by several people not to buy Brenner's school pics because they would look goofy... school pics always look goofy. Not my big handsome boy!!!! I'm so glad I bought the package. I have enough for everyone!!!

Doesn't he look like he's 8?

Hamster Ball Derby

On Saturday, Tagg raced in a hamster ball derby at Petco.

He liked to stop and smell the roses a lot.... he liked to turn around and go backwards.
But Brenner was very proud of his hamster for winning 4th place! (there were only 4 hamsters participating)
Tagg won a cool new flying saucer spinning wheel.
Proud daddy:)
