Terek at 6 months

On Saturday, my little T turned 6 months old!  He is growing up so fast!!!  He has become such a fun little boy.  He loves to smile.  He loves to be mauled to death by his big brother Joren (most of the time). He loves food and will eat huge bowls of rice cereal or any other kind of  baby food... except peas.  He can sit up, but doesn't have wonderful balance yet, so he falls over.  And I think his eyes are going to be blue... or maybe grayish blue.

Terek went in today for his well check and he is just over 16 lbs. and 27 inches long.  Poor little guy had to have 4 shots, so he's kind of miserable tonight.

Mr. Grabby Hands!

Warning!  This is what happens when you leave Terek's cereal bowl too close to him.

He is such a grabby little guy.  I took him to a movie the other day and he kept knocking the drinks out of the cup holders.  He's my only kid who could hold his own bottle at this age... wait, he won't drink from a bottle, so how does he know how to hold it!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The kids woke up this morning to some new Lego sets that Cupid brought them (I say kids, but I mean Brenner and Joren.  Terek didn't get anything for Valentine's day).

Brenner and Joren (or Mom) made these cute Valentine's for their preschool classes.  They said, "Read My Lips, Be my Valentine."  I thought it was a totally cute idea (and not tooooo much work), but they were both more excited about their Spiderman, Star Wars, etc.  Next year I'm doing the no work option.

Brenner and Joren went with Daddy this morning to the Build and Grow workshop at Lowe's.  They made these really cute Heart Jewelry Boxes.  It was quite the fun activity for them to do with their dad.

And last night, Ryan and I got to go on our first date since Terek was born without ANY kids!!!  It was so peaceful.  Thanks to Shellie for taking crybaby Terek who won't take a bottle.  And thanks to our cute neighbor Sam, who watched Brenner and Joren.  She even had them frost sugar cookies for us!!!

Why you should listen to your kids

So, yesterday Brenner told me they were having a fieldtrip for preschool.  "Hmmm, that sounds fun."  "There's a letter about it in my backpack."  (ok, I'll look at it later.  It wasn't on the calendar so it's probably for March sometime.)

So we get up to go pick up Carly (the little girl we carpool with).  Her mom answers the door and says, "ummm, we're going on the field trip today."

So, I checked Brenner's backpack and sure enough, there was a letter in there for the field trip today!  He was sick and missed a day last week, so she had given him his paper yesterday.  We jumped in the shower and headed down to the Planetarium for his field trip.  We saw a 3D movie about the ocean.

(Okay, so later on I started freaking out.  What if I didn't carpool and I didn't know about the field trip and I just dropped Brenner off at preschool and no one was there.  And he had no way of calling me..... enough freaking out.  I will always check his backpack.)

Handsome

Brenner had been wanting a tie for church (something about not being able to be the spotlight). So, when Children's Place got their new spring line, I went and got the big boys ties.  Babies look too adorable in sweater vests.  Don't they look handsome!!!

Sunny St. George

What a beautiful weekend in sunny St. George.  We went climbing on the rocks up on the red hill.  The boys enjoyed a hike through the narrows.  And they loved climbing everywhere.

It was fun to have Chad and Melissa's family there.  Their kids took such good care of our boys.
As always, Terek enjoyed the action!!!
He even got to go swimming for the first time!!!
