I've been telling Brenner for quite some time that it's time he learns how to ride a bike! He is old enough to be embarrassed that he can't ride a bike without training wheels but still too scared to try to ride it. He got a scooter for Easter and he has no problem balancing on it. I've been telling him that if he can ride and balance on the scooter, he can ride his bike. So, today he was riding his scooter down our short slanted driveway. So, I grabbed a small old bike that we had taken the pedals off of so that they could just sit and coast on it. He did that a couple of times and realized that he really could do it. So, with the encouragement of our neighbors that assured him they used to have training wheels on their bikes too, we took off the training wheels! All I had to do was get him started and he was off!!!
Now we just need to teach him h0w to start and stop on his own and how to better handle the corners!
He just needed a little encouragement from friends... and a nice, warm day.
Now, it's Joren's turn!!!

It took Lyndsi forEVER to learn to ride sans training wheels. I think she was in 1st grade even. So, way to go Brenner!
Yay! Go Brenner!
(and Dane was in 2nd grade, I think)
Good Job Brenner...
That is so great! He will figure out how to start and stop and how to handle the corners in no time!
Congrats Brenner! I wanted to come to your craft fair and couldn't for the life of me get there. How did you have 3 kids and continue to do everything that you do? I know why...YOU'RE AMAZING!
