Whatever keeps him busy....

This little boy loves to get into the wipes!  He opens the container by himself and pulls them all out.  Then he rips them to pieces and often times eats them.  But, hey, it keeps him happy for a few minutes.

Terek Ryan Scholes

Terek is such a cute little boy.  It seems that he knows what he wants!  He gets mad when we try to put him in his high chair... he'd rather sit in the middle of the table.  He loves to ride his play 4-wheeler.  He wants to do everything that his big brothers do.  He's still not crawling yet... but he seems to be getting closer.  He may walk before he crawls!

Thinking of Others

Cami and I were talking the other day about how our kids expect us to be thinking about them and doing things for them all the time and they rarely think about anyone but themselves.

Well, this is true MOST of the time, but I wanted to tell about some of the sweet things this boy has done.

• Yesterday I was really tired and sat down in the recliner of my couch with baby Terek asleep in my arms.  Brenner covered us up with a blanket and brought me my water mug in case I got thirsty.
• He has gotten up in the morning and poured us all bowls of cereal with milk.
• He has made his bed, Joren's bed and my bed without being asked.

These are just a few that I can think of.  He really can be a sweet boy!!!

Having fun with Cousins

I haven't been blogging much this week because I've been a little busy.  We've had a house full of kids.... 5 to be exact.  I know this may not seem like many for some of you, but for me, it's a lot.  I can barely handle having 3 kids of my own, but throw two more into the mix and give me 5 kids age 5 and under and I'm a little busy.

We had a lot of fun at the beach park on Tuesday.
Yesterday we went to the Gale center.  It was a lot of fun.  We had the whole place to ourselves and the docents played with the kids.  We stayed way longer than we usually do.

Today we're off to McDonald's for lunch so I gotta go.

Another reason to love Target

Reasons I love Target...

• $1 section
• Cute home decor
• Cute clothes for adults and kids
• good, cheap Target brand stuff... like TP, medicines, snacks, etc.
• the popcorn/slushie combo
• the kids love to go there

and another GREAT reason to love Target is their pharmacy.

Have you ever gotten a liquid prescription filled there?  well, they  have great bottles.  they have a small hole in the top... just the size of the syringe.  all you do is stick the syringe in, turn the bottle upside down, fill the syringe, turn it right side up and pull it out.  so easy and mess free and you can get the last tiny bit out of the bottom with ease.  they also color code everything so you don't get your kids stuff mixed up.  brenner is blue, joren is green, terek is red, i am orange... it's fabulous.

The prodigal hamster has returned

As many of you may know, we lost Tagg last Wednesday night.  Brenner was "cooking" him in his pretend kitchen and left him there.  We tried to find and catch him before we went to st. george with no luck.  We got home tonight and when Ryan took the much appreciated meat from our parents downstairs to the freezer in the basement, he saw Tagg scurry across the floor.  We were able to quickly catch him and return him to his cage!!!:)

The little guy must have been quite hungry and thirsty because he drank tons from his water and the last time we checked on him he had his cheeks quite full of food... seriously they were huge!!!

We hope he can get used to us again after being wild for so long!!!

This is the Place

Today was a free day in honor of Huntsman's at This is the Place monument and village.  I have been wanting to go up there for awhile.  It was a cute little pioneer village with a lot of fun little old houses and such.

There was also a train ride that went around the park and a pony ride and petting zoo.  They had a little kids play area that had a lot of fun little houses that the kids could go in.
If I had less grumpy kids I could have done a lot more fun stuff!!

13 things I love about Ryan

In honor of our 13th anniversary, I thought I'd put 13 things I love about Ryan... 

• He's tall, dark and handsome
• He is always thinking about me before himself
• He makes me laugh (although usually I'm rolling my eyes at his sarcastic sense of humor)
• He's a do-it-yourself-er... he can fix anything
• He's smart
• He makes me feel safe and protected
• He's always warm... that comes in handy in the winter
• He's a hard worker
• He puts up with a nagging wife and doesn't complain
• He's kind and giving to everyone
• He's a great dad and his kids love him!
• He's fun to be around
• He has taught me patience (at least he has tried to)

Thanks for being such a great husband, Ryan.  It's been the best 13 years of my life!!!  I love you!

Joren has pink eye (or something like that)

Terek has had a cold forever and I think his pink eye is back.

Thanks for the offer to baby sit so we could go out tonight, Lucas and Shellie, but I don't think you're going to want to be around our kids!

Can I borrow a baby walker???

I know I don't have a huge following, but I'm in need of a baby walker... does anyone out there know anyone that has a baby walker I could borrow for a couple of months?  I would be willing to rent it or trade you for something.  I think it would be the perfect toy for grumpy baby Terek.

Mobile command center

Brenner's birthday was over 3 weeks ago and we finally put together his lego set! It was the only thing he wanted for his birthday (besides his hamster).
